GENERAL DESCRIPTION. The Barbera is the most popular and widespread vine in Piedmont. In Asti it found the ideal soil for its growth and, since always, the Barbera d’Asti DOC means a young, fresh, fruity wine. Its’ tasting is always appreciated and never betrays….for the quality, if consumed in higher quantities
than normal, and for its price! Ancestor of the Barbera d’Asti Superiore, which has risen to top quality, the Barbera d’Asti represents today the simpler connection with this vine. It’s the first step towards more challenging wine-making techniques. It’s like a sweet and fascinating “child”, which strikes for his simplicity and freshness. It shows the delicacy of its personality, the preciousness of its charm. It has great potential, but it is like a playful puppy. For this reason, we called the simplest and youngest of our Barbera wines, with the nickname “Baby”! “Baby” is a young, simple, spontaneous, natural wine. It takes us to discover the Barbera diversified world. It offers itself in happiness, like a trustworthy and reliable friend.

ORGANOLEPTIC DATA. It has vinous, fresh scents, with woodland hints. Ruby red colour. It is dry and appealing to the mouth. The light acidity whets the tasting and fascinates the palate. Wine for the entire meal, ideal with light courses. It can also match more elaborate dishes, thanks to its natural personality.

VINIFICATION AND AGEING. Maceration for 8-10 days at a temperature of 28-30° C. Malo-lactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

GASTRONOMIC MATCH. Ideal with Italian first courses made with pasta or rice.
